Learning Targets

Helping students Aim for Understanding

A STRETCh Instructor will make sure that learning goals are clearly articulated to students and parents. I would highly recommend reading -  "Learning Targets" by Moss and Brookhart.

Here are a few of the resources I used in creating K-12 math learning targets from the CCSS:

Learning targets should be where you start and end your lesson. It is important that both the teachers and the students know what they are aiming for! I post 8 x 10 inch posters of the daily learning targets up around the room, and also have Avery labels that have the learning targets on them. Students can stick these labels in their math or ELA journals.

If you are interested in purchasing CCSS math aligned posters and/or student labels, feel free to visit my Teachers pay Teachers store.
